2025 Audi A3 adds standard AWD, base price $39,495

Audi revealed a mid-cycle refresh of the A3 in March, and the updated compact sedan is now available for order in the U.S.

It will appear as a 2025 model, with prices starting at $39,495 including a $1,295 destination charge

This is the first time that the company has offered a new model.

This is a significant price increase from the 2024 A3's starting price of $36,895, although all-wheel drive is standard on the 2025 model; adding this feature to the 2024 A3 brings the starting price to $38,895.

Other changes for the 2025 include a new fascia design, the addition of a frameless front grille, and changes to the internal construction of the LED headlights and taillights; two new wheel patterns and four new paint options (Arcona White, Arrow Gray Pearl Effect, Progressive Red Metallic, and District Green Metallic) have also been added.

On the interior, new details have been added to the gear shifter and air vents, and new options have been added to the trim and dash accents. Standard items were also added, including a leather-trimmed multifunction steering wheel, an ambient lighting package, and a large 10.3-inch digital screen in the instrument cluster. The infotainment system comes standard with a 10.1-inch screen.

Available features include a wireless phone charger, door panel lighting options, and multiple offers found in the Audi App Store. Like a smartphone, the App Store will allow owners to download and install apps directly into the vehicle. A surround-view camera system is planned but not yet available.

The 2025 A3's only powertrain is a 201 hp 2.0-liter turbo four, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Buyers seeking higher performance can opt for the S3 and RS 3 models, which deliver 328 hp and 400 hp, respectively, in the 2025 model year.

In other markets, Audi has also added a soft-loader model based on the A3 Sportback hatch (also not sold in the US). It is called the A3 All Street and adds 0.6 inches to the ride height, plus a slightly higher seating position to make getting in and out easier, according to Audi.
