Palm Beach International Raceway is for sale.

Palm Beach International Raceway may not have the track record of fellow Florida racetracks Daytona and Sebring, but unlike those tracks, it is for sale.

As The Drive reported Tuesday, Palm Beach International Raceway is currently for sale by real estate firm CBRE for an undisclosed price. This comes after the local zoning board of appeals blocked the developer's proposal to demolish the track and build an industrial park in 2022.

Located in Jupiter, Florida, 23 miles from West Palm Beach and its airport, the circuit sits on 174.4 acres with a 2-mile road course, 1/4-mile drag strip, and 7/10-mile kart track, plus a mud run space and a 13,000 square foot clubhouse.

The site is adjacent to Beeline Highway and the CSX railroad tracks. The Drive notes that local residents strongly opposed the move, and Indy 500 winner Danny Sullivan formed Formula Racing Promotions with others in an attempt to buy the circuit, but lost out to Portman Industrial's bid in 2022.

Palm Beach International Raceway is not as well known as Indianapolis Motor Speedway or other famous circuits, but it has one claim to fame. Formerly known as Moroso Motorsports Park, it was featured in the infamous “Top Gear” rare trip across the South.

Several race tracks have come up for sale in recent years, including Oregon Raceway Park, Grattan Raceway in Michigan, and Willow Springs International Raceway in California. This is not a testament to the high level of interest in motorsports in the U.S., but at least these tracks are being put up for sale rather than being immediately turned into apartments or warehouses.
