Jeep Announces Three New Models and Powertrains

Sterantis confirmed Thursday that it is continuing to revamp its Jeep lineup as part of an overall push of new products.
Addressing dealers at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) show in New Orleans, Sterantis confirmed “three new Jeep nameplates and three new powertrains-ICE, hybrid and electric.”
Jeep Recon
Jeep already has several new and redesigned models, some with all-electric and hybrid powertrains.
The Jeep Recon is still under development as the brand's second EV for the U.S. following the Wagoneer S and will introduce a new nameplate; the Recon was first unveiled in 2022 as a concept model along with the Wagoneer S and was originally scheduled to appear in 2024 However, Jeep has not provided an updated appearance schedule.
2023 Jeep Cherokee
Former Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares also said last year that an electric Jeep priced around $25,000 would arrive in the U.S. “very soon,” an announcement made after Tavares' remarks. Stellantis' investor presentation mentioned an electric Jeep Renegade priced below $25,000, so that model will probably wear the Renegade badge.
At the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show, Jeep's current CEO, Antonio Filosa, also confirmed that a Cherokee successor with a hybrid powertrain will arrive this year, but whether it will retain the Cherokee name or A redesigned Compass is scheduled for 2026, followed by the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer series plug-in hybrids. will be unveiled.
