2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe priced at $81,300, higher than BMW X6 and Audi Q8

The Genesis GV80 midsize SUV has been updated for the 2025 model year with a new coupe-like body style that targets the BMW X6, Audi Q8, and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe.

The 2025 GV80 coupe will hit showrooms this summer, and Genesis announced Thursday that pricing will start at $81,300, including a $1,350 destination charge.

This starting price is $22,250 higher than the starting price of the regular 2025 GV80, which went on sale this spring. It is also $5,625 more than the starting price of the BMW X6, which sparked the coupe-style SUV boom. Genesis also priced the GV80 coupe $6,405 higher than the Audi Q8. The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe is more expensive than the Genesis, but at least here in the U.S. it is only offered in AMG form

To justify the GV80 Coupe's higher entry price, Genesis loaded the car with a long list of standard equipment. This includes Genesis' mid-range twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 as the standard powertrain, which delivers 375 horsepower.

Standard features on the GV80 coupe include an active suspension with adjustable dampers, all-wheel drive, an electronic limited-slip differential, 20-inch wheels, matrix LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, and leather seats. Standard in-car technology includes a 27.0-inch display with integrated digital meter cluster and infotainment system, Bang & Olufsen audio system, surround-view camera system, head-up display, heated and cooled power-adjustable second row seats, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Buyers seeking higher performance can opt for a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 with a mild hybrid system. This increases maximum output to 409 hp. The more powerful model comes standard with more extras that add $5,800 to the price: 22-inch wheels, quad exhaust tips (instead of the standard twin tips), carbon fiber cabin trim, and alloy pedals.

GV80 Coupe buyers also have the option of the coupe-like SUV's exclusive Bering Blue exterior paint finish.

Genesis has not finished updating the GV80 series. In March, Genesis announced a new performance sub-brand called Magma and confirmed plans for a Magma version of the GV80 coupe.
