Porsche and Will Smith Reunite for "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" for the Third Time

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will continue to be Miami's elite in the fourth installment of "Bad Boys" as they fight to live or die together.
A Porsche 911 is once again Smith and Lawrence's co-star in Bad Boys: Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which was released last week. This time, the 992-generation 911 Turbo S takes the spotlight.
The current generation Turbo S is a nod to the 964-generation 911 Turbo 3.6 that appeared in the original 1995 film. The car is in director Michael Bay's own collection, sold at auction in 2022 for over $1.4 million, and has a cameo in Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
The Porsche did not appear in "Bad Boys II," a sequel to "Bad Boys" released in 2003. The car featured in the film was a Ferrari 575M Maranello. However, in 2020's Bad Boys for Life, the German brand returned, offering a 992-generation 911 Carrera 4S in gentian blue.
This time, Smith and Lawrence as detectives are on the run from a criminal conspiracy, and the 992 911 Turbo S is well equipped for the job. The twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six produces 640 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque and, according to Porsche, can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds, pass the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds, and reach a top speed of 205 mph.
The Turbo S is also expected to get a hybrid powertrain like other 911 models are receiving as part of a mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year. A grade that appears to be the Turbo S Touring, which lacks the Turbo's signature large rear wing, has also been spotted testing. Perhaps these cars will appear in a future "Bad Boys" sequel.
