Rolls-Royce's best-selling Cullinan Series II updated

Since its launch in 2018, the Cullinan SUV has been a popular Rolls-Royce model. Rolls is now applying several design and technology updates to ensure it stays that way.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II features a refreshed exterior with vertical daytime running lights framing the headlights and grille. The front bumper has also been bent downward, creating a line that blends with the running lights and completely surrounds the grille. Other changes include trim lines that run along the sides of the Cullinan and a stainless steel piece between the rear bumper's exhaust outlets.

The Cullinan Series II also comes with Cullinan's first 23-inch wheels and has been available in a black badge version since its launch. The Black Badge version features darkened exterior trim and the option of carbon fiber interior trim to bring the color palette to life.

The interior incorporates a miniature version of the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament under the dashboard clock, as well as an illuminated panel on the passenger fascia that was used on the Ghost sedan and Spectre Electric Coupe. This is achieved by laser-etching 7,000 dots into the security glass at various angles to create depth on the flat dash panel.

For infotainment, the Cullinan switches to the Spirit operating system that debuted in the Spectre, which also includes Wifi connectivity and an 18-speaker audio system that allows owners to use an app called Whispers, which allows the vehicle's The app, called Whispers, allows owners to send directions to the vehicle's navigation system, remotely lock and unlock the doors, and track the vehicle's location.

The Cullinan Series II also marks the debut of a new interior material that Rolls-Royce calls Duality Twill. According to the automaker, a full interior made of this fabric requires 2.2 million stitches in 11 miles of thread and takes 20 hours to complete.

The twin-turbocharged 6.7-liter V-12 engine remains unchanged and drives all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine delivers 591 hp and 663 lb-ft of torque in black-badged models, with model-specific throttle and transmission calibration for more lively acceleration.

The Cullinan Series II will begin deliveries later this year as a 2025 model. It should be followed by the updated Ghost Series II next year.
