2024 Ford F-150 Lightning lineup reduced in price

Ford has confirmed price reductions on most 2024 F-150 Lightning grades and has begun shipping trucks to dealers from its Rouge Electric Vehicle Center manufacturing facility near Detroit.

The largest price cut is on the Flash Extended Range, which has a mandatory $2,095 destination charge and now starts at $70,090. This is $5,500 less than the base price last quoted by Ford. This comes after Ford announced in January that it would raise prices for the Flash and other Lightning grades.

The Lightning Flash is a new grade that will be added to the lineup in 2024, bundling popular technology options that were previously only available on the Lariat and Platinum grades. Speaking of which, the Lariat will be reduced in price by $2,500, bringing its base MSRP to $79,090 including destination. The Platinum grade price remains unchanged at $87,090 including destination.

The base grade XLT Standard Range will be reduced by $2,000 to a starting price of $65,090 including destination. This model is powered by a smaller 98 kwh battery pack with a range of 240 miles and a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain producing 452 hp. The extended range version has 580 hp, a 131 kwh battery pack, and a range of 320 miles for the Flash and Lariat models and 300 miles for the Platinum model.

Ford also made a heat pump standard on the 2024, changed the charge speed display on the instrument cluster, made more towing features standard, and added a walk-away lock feature. The Pro Power Onboard feature, which allows owners to draw power from the battery pack to run tools and electronics, now works even when the truck is stopped, and the hands-free lane change and in-lane position change features have been added to the optional BlueCruise driving assistance system added to the system.

In February, Ford announced that it would begin shipping North American Charging Standards (NACS) adapters, allowing owners of Lightning and other Ford EVs to charge at Tesla Supercharger stations. through June 30, new and existing customers can get one adapter per vehicle for free.
