2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty is spying and towing nearly 10,000 pounds

Ford Ranger will soon be able to compete with big players as Blue Oval is developing a rugged version of its popular medium-sized pickup truck.

The new truck is scheduled for 2026 and will adopt the same super duty designation used on large F-Series trucks.

The prototype was recently discovered for testing near Ford's US headquarters and Spyshot revealed details like flared wheel arches, raised suspension, snorkel, and common grabber all-terrain tires attached to sturdy steel wheels. Also, you will not miss the industrial-style beds attached to the prototype.

Do not look for a Ranger Super Duty to reach the United States despite it testing here. Most of the development has been processed in Australia by Ford's International Market group and has announced plans for the truck on Nov. Ford said on the 19th, the production will be processed exclusively at a plant in Thailand that will build Rangers for sale outside North America. The US-spec Ranger is built at a factory in Michigan.

Specifications confirmed by Ford include a maximum traction capacity of 9,920 pounds. It compares to a standard ranger whose tow capacity tops at 7,500 pounds. The truck will also have a gross vehicle weight rating of 9,920 pounds.

Ford said the truck is intended for commercial buyers seeking enhanced towing and off-road capabilities, including companies operating in the emergency, agriculture, forestry, mining and utilities industries.

Ranger Super Duty is the first Ranger Barge that skips US buyers in other markets can already opt for plug-in Hybrid Ranger
