2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Willis'41 Honor military heritage

The modern Jeep Wrangler still has a design that traces its roots to the legendary Willis MB, the original jeep that was launched in 1941 as a US Military "light reconnaissance vehicle".

The Jeep features the Wrangler4xe Willys'41special edition, which takes cues from the Willys MB, and celebrates its connection with the 2022 Wrangler, which incorporates several elements of the 2025 Jeep'41 concept.

The most obvious connection to Willys MB is the Wrangler4xe Willys'41's olive drab paint finish. The SUV also gets 17-inch wheels painted in the same color and is wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. The various decals and badges bear the name "Willys" and feature the same blue color used on factory stencils mandated by the U.S. Army at Willys MBs during World War II.

Inside, there is a tan cloth seat, a monotonous touch of more olives, and a "'41" logo on the shift knob. As an alternative to the body-colored hard top and Wrangler's Sky One-touch power top roof, the model's exclusive tan-colored soft top roof is available. The vehicle also comes standard with front and rear rear lockers and steel bumpers.

As with all Wrangler 4xe models, the Willis 41 Special Edition comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-liter turbo-4 and an electric motor for a peak of 375 hp. This, in a way, is also a nod to the Willys MB with a 4-cylinder engine.

Following the 2024 update, changes to the 2025 Wrangler lineup are relatively light. The list includes power locks and power windows standardized across the range, as well as additional available cabin ventilation systems that allow owners to pre-ventilate their cabins using the app on their phones. Olive drab paint in Willys'41special edition has also been added to the regular set of paint options.

Beyond the 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain, the 2025 Wrangler is offered with a 2.0-litre Turbo-4 rated at 270 hp, a 3.6-litre V-6 rated at 285 hp and a 6.4-litre V-8 rated at 470 hp. This could be the last year for a Wrangler V-8, or any jeep for that matter. Most powertrain comes with an 8-speed automatic as the only transmission, but the 6-speed manual is still offered as the only transmission on the V-6.

The order book for the 2025 Wrangler lineup is already open, and the first example is scheduled for jeep dealers before the year comes out. The price of the 2025 Wrangler starts atル33,990 and the price of the Wrangler4xe Willys'41special edition starts atル61,825. Both numbers include a destination fee ofド1,895.
