Vojtners Extravale's custom-built electric 911 goes on sale in the U.S.

Voitures Extravert's name means "extrovert car" in French, but the company is based in the Netherlands, and its series of electric Porsche 911 mods, known as Quintessenzas, appear no different from the originals, at least to onlookers.

Voitures Extravert has been in operation since 2016, and until now, anyone seeking to import the company's cars in the United States had to do so privately. With Voitures Extravert officially entering the U.S. market, that is changing. Plans are also in the works to expand into Canada.

The first test drives will be available in June, and in some cases the company will bring the cars to potential buyers wherever they are located. Voitures Extravert also has software that allows prospective buyers to take a virtual test drive.

However, due to the extremely limited production, Voitures Extravert does not use the traditional direct sales model. Voiture Extravale has partnered with boutique marketing agency Idea Integration, Inc. to showcase the cars at exclusive events and also sell them through an invitation-only referral program.

Voiture Extravale also plans to build a close-knit community of owners, similar to those offered by luxury brands such as Bugatti and Koenigsegg. As part of this community, group drive events will be organized. One is already planned for 2026, where participants will drive along scenic roads in Italy, Germany, and the Swiss Alps before arriving at Voitures Extravert's headquarters in the Netherlands.

With no traditional dealership, the cars will be personally delivered to the owner's preferred location, and Voitures Extravert has a small team in place in case repairs or inspections are needed, and over time will establish a more extensive support network for the cars. The company plans to establish a broader support network for the cars over time. As for charging, the company will fully support Tesla's charging network.

Unlike some competitors that add electric power to the 911, Voitures Extravert will not simply replace the powertrain taken from the Tesla. Instead, the company developed its own technology not only for the powertrain, but also for key software systems, including an operating system that supports wireless updates.

Voiture Extra Vert uses an original Porsche 911 for the modifications. The car is first restored to better condition than when it first left the Porsche factory, and then the electrical hardware is installed. A wide range of options are available, including narrow and wide bodies, Targa and Cabriolet roofs, and more.

The latest 2024 Quintessenza has a single 375 hp motor in the rear. The battery is a 59 kwh lithium-ion unit, and Voitures Extravert estimates a range of 250 miles. Other performance estimates include a 0-60 mph time of less than 6 seconds and a top speed of approximately 112 mph.

Pricing varies depending on specifications, but current prices start at just over $400,000.
