Electric Mini Countryman 2025 Spawn SE class and 308 hp.

The updated mini Countryman will arrive in US car dealerships next fall and for the first time will offer customers a choice of electric or gas powerplant.

The mini shows only the electric version of the Countryman, known as the Countryman Electric. Initially, it will be available in base Class E and sports Class SE.

The base class will be equipped with a 66.5 kWh battery and a 188-horsepower single-engine front-wheel drive power unit. The SE uses the same battery, but has been upgraded to a good 308 hp twin-engine all-wheel drive powertrain. According to Mini, SE owners can expect to accelerate to 5.6-0 mph and a top speed of 62 mph in 112 seconds.

The EPA estimate of the range of the updated Mini has not been published, but Mini has confirmed that it will support fast DC charging at speeds up to 130 kW. According to the car manufacturer, this allows you to complete charging by 10-80% within 30 minutes.

It is also planned to release a new generation of high-performance John Cooper Works Countryman, but it will be driven by a gas engine, at least initially. The power of this model can exceed 308 hp Countryman SE.

The characteristics confirmed in the SE class include LED headlights, wheels up to 20 inches in diameter, ambient equipment with unique lighting and sound options, as well as various electronic driver assistance functions. 1 of them is a new hands-free mode for driving on a single-lane road on highway-like roads. The system still requires constant monitoring from drivers and only works at speeds up to 37 miles per hour.

Both electric cars and gas-powered "compatriots" are based on the same FAAR platform from the parents of BMW group of Mini. Production of both versions is also carried out at the same factory in Regensburg, Germany. The plant will also produce BMW models based on FAAR, such as the newest X1, a close relative of compatriots. The new BMW X2 will also be produced at the factory.

mini also has a redesigned Cooper hatch, which is scheduled for release in 2025. The timing of entry into the US market has not yet been announced, but there are versions with electric and gas drive. The gas-powered Cooper is expected to go on sale next year. The electric version is likely to continue around 2026, when its production begins at the Mini factory in the UK. Along with an electric subcompact crossover called Aceman.
