Singer has unveiled a turbo design inspired by the Porsche 930 with a focus on sporty driving.

In February, California-based Porsche tuner Singer Vehicle Design unveiled a new turbo study inspired by the Porsche 930, or the original 911 Turbo, which was built from 1975 to 1989.

Now Singer has revealed one of the first customer examples.

Like all Singer cars, the Turbo Study is based on the 964-generation 911 built from 1989 to 1994, but the styling has been retrofitted (note the wide body and whale tail-like rear spoiler) and many mechanical upgrades have been made.

The engine is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six, air-cooled but with an air-to-water intercooler. As befits a sports car, output has been increased from 450 hp in the standard turbo study to 510 hp.

Other special customer-requested touches include a center-mounted fuel filler, lowered suspension, carbon ceramic brake rotors, and carbon fiber bucket seats. A rear cross brace was also added. Like the other Turbo Study models, the body is made of carbon fiber.

The color combination is Turbo Racing White on the exterior, accented with green stripes.

The Turbo Study is the original Singer-tuned 911 (now called the Classic Study), a Dynamics and Lightweight Study (DLS) that incorporates Williams Advanced Engineering's Formula 1 knowledge, Singer's fourth model, following the wild all-terrain Competition Study (ACS) off-roader.

Singer will unveil the car at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK from June 23-26. For more information on this event, visit the dedicated hub.
